Cell Phone Culture

You couldn’t call someone to let them know you were on your way but would be 10 minutes late; you couldn’t call someone from the grocery store to see if they needed you to pick something up; no one could reach you until you were at a location where you’re generally ready to be reached (home, work, etc.). It was glorious! And things still got done in society. People were still shockingly able to meet at appointed places. If someone was going to be ten minutes late, the other person just waited for a bit, and the late person just showed up. Now, people without cell phones pose a social issue, wreaking panic in their social circles. Now, don’t get me wrong: I have a cell phone, and I love it. I have an iPhone, actually — the most culturally annoying of them all right now. But I generally use it only for mobile web and texting. I rarely actually call someone. But even though I loves my iPhone, or as I like to call it, the LoriPhone, I still think our cellphone popular culture has become annoying. People getting off the subway and all scrambling for their phones like Ed McMahon called with millions of dollars for them. So annoying! Generally I think cell phones are a good thing. It’s just a lot of people’s way of using them that suck. I guess that’s what happens with any new cultural revolution or technological advancement, though. They just naturally become a social issue. I guess what I’m saying is, I don’t hate the game, I hate the player.

[..YouTube..] most of the people making the complaints are the same people who i bet have done these things, hell everyone has done something annoying on a cellphone at some point and time, lol but cellphones are here to stay for the time being anyways so peoples might as well get use to them, practically everyone has one now-a-days, even grandma and granddad, lol, my little cousin 7/8 years old even have’em which is kinda ridiculous i think at their age but what ya gonna do
