The Flow of Sheeple

Flows. They are all around us, influencing our style trends, diets, language – everything. Ideas and movements flow through our culture and society all the time. When people blindly jump in the current to follow these flows, they are acting like sheeple. I don’t like this, particularly, right now, when the flow is wending through our news media. News media should be presenting more sides to a story than just the popular flow. News media should be presenting more stories, in general, instead of pointing to whatever is in the flow and not adding anything to the conversation. I’m not interested in coming to conclusions to what is right or wrong in news stories, whether they are political, social, or event-driven in nature. I’m more interested in seeing the flow and trying to wake people up to that flow. If more people are awake to flows, there is a better chance they’ll be awake enough to think for themselves. That is the heavy shit I’m talking about this week, awake humans!
