I had the privilege of sitting down recently with Daniel Pinchbeck, author and all around genius who’s an expert on the the apocalyptic theories surrounding the year 2012. For quite a while now, people have been writing in and asking me to cover 2012, and I never knew what it was about other than something to do with the world ending and the Mayans. So, as the economy disintegrates and the environment goes to crap, it seems like there might be something to the idea that our current societal structure coming to an end soon. The bottom line is, we can’t sustain this way of life much longer, as we’ve reached peak oil, we’re overfishing our seas, deforesting our forests at an unsustainable rate…you name an aspect of how our society operates, and it’s pretty much doomed. We need to change our ways if we are to continue on this planet – one way or another. So I thought, this might be a good time to finally find out what the whole 2012 thing is about, seeing as how much evidence is pointing to a huge shift coming one. Daniel’s name popped up quickly in a Google search for 2012, and after a little digging I found out he lives just up the river from me. So I sat down with him without researching 2012 first, because I thought the best way to learn about it would be through the words of someone who really knows what he’s talking about. Now, if you don’t know anything about 2012, I’ll let you do the same – by checking out this interview. Honestly, Daniel is one of the smartest people I’ve met in ages – scarily so. I wanted to just post the entire, uncut interview,which is about 40 minutes long, but then thought to myself, if people really want to know more about Daniel, then they should really buy his books and check out his site. The man has a great plan for how human beings can advance into the wisdom age, focusing on our spirtiuality and most benevolent gifts to the universe, instead of our current, material ways. Enjoy.

You assume science and religion are irreconcilable, but everything is subject to interpretation. That’s why many scientists are also religious, and even Einstein said that the universe proves there is a god. I read everything. I find it fascinating that you would call the Book of Revelations “new age” when it was written almost 2000 years ago. If that’s “new age,” what’s old age?

Names please.How can you attach ancestral worship to GODS. Also, if there was such things as praying to GODS, my parents did not teach me about them. I have heard about what you are saying, but the reason some will say GODS is because there is no definition for GOD representation of power or even time. Our belief system and calendar is based on time and space principles. Meaning there is an interconnection with God in all things.

Not every year. It’s called the sunspot cycle it has to do with the magnetic field of the sun. At the peak there’s a greater chance of more potent solar flares. The cycle completes every 10-12 years. Scientists are predicting a potent one in 2012 but not as powerful as some of the other ones we’ve had in the last century and pretty much the worse thing it can do is mess up our cell phones.

To do that, we have to show that we’re credible people. If the rest of your logic follows this type of pattern it’s easy to see why you’re confused.Also did you hear pinchbeck say anything about a doomsday? They even talked about 2020. Realize he was pointing out real world problems that we are facing.

[..YouTube..] And the Mayan calendar doesn’t end in 2012, the 4th AGE ends and the 5th AGE begins. No credible source is claiming it’s the end of the world. Hollywood and people who have no idea what they’re talking about have latched on to this information and completely distorted the ideas and principles behind this date, then people hear that version and think it’s stupid. Well yeah, because those versions aren’t based on reality at all.

The web bot, timewave zero, Edgar cayce, the cross of hentai, great pyramid…all point to 2012. It’s all over the world, throughout every culture and civilization. At this point one needs to be blind or purposely shutting it out not to know about what’s being told about what’s happening.

You could start with vids from people like John Major Jenkins, Terrence McKenna, Geoff Stray, Graham Hancock… Did you know about the white buffalo being born and the Lakota proohecies about that? Not the end of the world, a jump in evolution, different energies affecting the planet, a change in the perception of time, and a whole lot more. It’s worth looking into.

The 2012 phenomenon is more revelational; he’s not saying any specific event is going to happen, but that the earth will be entering into a new astrological era of the Aquarian Age. This isn’t new, as Jung has written extensively about the Zodiacal precession. I enjoy reading and hearing about his psychonautic adventures, because he ties them to social relevancy.
