Some people think that the climate crisis is an inevitable, cyclical shift that is going to happen no matter what humans do, and that Al Gore is an evil mastermind behind his own corporate interest or ego-driven mania, bent on becoming a countercultural revolutionist that eventually takes over our society starting through a cult-ish liberal community and/or youth movement. Some people think the climate crisis is definitely caused by the careless behavior of humans and corporations and that we must all change our high-polluting ways, adopting cleaner, more sustainable, conservative cultural habits if we are to provide a habitable planet for our children. Some people think it’s a little bit of both. And some people don’t think about it at all. Ever. Those seemed to be the people that were roaming the streets of Brooklyn when I went out the other day for this alternative news piece, talking with folks about preparing for the end of the world that we humans are causing. So this video is an instant classic, in my opinion. Because as we move forward into a collective consciousness smitten with “going green”, everyone is going to have an opinion pretty soon.

Being 70 degrees for a few days in January isn’t global warming. That is an unusual seasonal high.Global warming refers to an increase in the overall temperature. Its does not affect only specific days or create catastrophic storm systems in and of itself.

Humans burn thousands of tonnes of fossil fuels (hydrocarbons) a day which is why there is significantly more carbon dioxide in the atmosphere.Anything in excess is bad. Even IF CO2 doesn’t cause global warming, continually dumping it into the atmosphere is not a good thing…

Then how can you explain the cambrain period where CO2 levels were much higher: 7,000ppm (compared with today’s 390ppm).Don’t forget that the Cambrian period saw the evolution of the Eye, the most important organ, or that the period only had 7 degrees celsius higher temperature than here.How can species make such heavy and fast developments under all that bad CO2?

I do not believe human activity is the catalyst for global warming. The co2 we create even through heavy industry is NOTHING compared to the co2 that is emitted by life in the sea. So to assume that the Earth was on such a delicate balance that it could not cope with our tiny contribution to co2 is misinformed assumption.I mean the ice caps on Mars are melting people……did we do that?The Earth is going through a solar cycle which is the first 1 we are recording and understanding.

If Co2 alone drives warming, then higher Co2 must mean higher temperatures. Yet the earth cooled by 0.2 degrees C between 1945 and 1976 when Co2 and fossil fuel burning rose sharply.
Again, it has cooled by 0.10 degrees since 1998 despite a 5% rise in Co2 levels.
168 billion tonnes of C02 enter the atmosphere every year – just 3.3 percent comes from human activity.
Do some REAL research instead of posting insults and nonsense in post after post.

However, the global-warming moonbats have suggested the ability of oceans and plants to absorb CO2 recently may have begun to decline and that the airborne fraction of man-made CO2 emissions is therefore beginning to increase causing the amount of CO2 to increase also….
