So people should vote with their movie ticket and just not buy into any LL movies for a while. LOL As an actor working in Hollywood I’ve seen $$$ influence ppl many diff ways. This is my best advice… just don’t see the next Lohan film and if she shapes up, THEN go she her films after that if it’s what you want and they are actually good quality. Never be afraid to walk out of a film and demand a re-admit ticket.

We are still waiting to find out if Mel is suing anyone for fraud or libel. That would be a surprise at this point. I’ve heard of other Russian women taking advantage of unsuspecting men. Getting arrested DOES have stigma attached to it, at least in the employment world. It is a sentence to a life as a second class citizen, even if you don’t commit a crime.

Turning the prison system over to corporate franchises amplifies this – & also produces a predicate toward maintaining (or increasing) recidivism in order to keep said franchises profitable, because fiduciary responsibility is mandatory.

Yes, our penal system has gotten soft. Celebrities have long enjoyed the “privilege” of getting off with weaker punishments compared to the average person. Why? Because American culture worships, celebrates and admires famous people, just like wealthy people. Nowadays, it doesn’t really matter what you’re famous for anymore, just as long as you’re famous for something.
We’ve really seemed to have lost touch with traditional morals.
There’s a lot of evidence to show the slow decline of honesty and loyalty, in business and personal relationships since about 1970.

When you apply for colleges, master degree programs, most decent jobs, even some (or many) low paying jobs… you will likely be denied.

A time that comes when they want to contribute, hold an important position in society, etc… However, they will be denied to do so in most case scenarios. Maybe you are thinking of the rapist, the murder, the car thief, or other serious crimes. – This is not always the case. There are many people with a petty misdemeanor offense, & (mostly) their opportunities are gone. Think!

Even more pathetic than the irony of that is the fact that you view the entire penal (it sounds like penis!) system through the experience of people like Lohan and thus your biggest complaint is that prison isn’t a deterrent. The real problem is that huge numbers of black and brown folks are in jail for non-violent crimes. But I guess you can’t make a blow job reference out of that and thus up your view count.
