This year’s Christmas Spectacular is dedicated to the one and only Reverend Billy Talen, whose movie “What Would Jesus Buy?” inspired me to go out and ask people just that. Every year around New York City, there are these Christmas markets where people hawk ridiculous items in hopes that people will buy them as Christmas presents for their loved ones. I hate these markets for several reasons. ONE: It’s freaking TOO COLD to be shopping outside! TWO: The crap that people sell at them are just that, crap. THREE: Why does this country go bananas with consumerism in the name of Jesus? Really, that’s the worst one, obviously. And that’s the one that the good Reverend is hung up about, too. Consumerism drives this country, which is no good for us in many ways, not the least of which is our distracting ourselves from what’s really important. I don’t get it, why bag on people spending money if it at least boosts the economy a little bit. I don’t know about you all, but my hubby doesn’t have a job because of the economy, so I’m not hating on the people for wanting to spend money.

psst.I think she was kidding about the communism part of her vid. I would dare to guess its due to the whole “red scare” issue people have over socialized health care. you Know that really “bad” thing we have for our fire dep., police dep., library, etc.socialized stuff like that. God forbid we have something like that for a hospital/health care. I would dare to guess that she is that smart as to laugh at peoples uneducated thinking in regards to socialism vs. communism. I’m actually kind of curious about the footage to this that we didn’t see. Not for any particular reason, it just feels like there’s more to this story than the 3:15 devoted to it tells us. I guess what I mean is I haven’t been given enough food for thought, I need more to eat before I can digest the point of the vlog properly. Is there a longer cut elsewhere online or is there any chance a longer cut might be provided in the future? Anyway, belated merry Christmas and an early happy new year.

Giving gifts is a celebration of the birth of Christ. It is not a bad thing to give gifts to family and friends that you care about and love. Jesus came to this earth knowing that he would be put to death for our sins. He offers the gift of salvation to anyone who is willing to receive it. Merry Christmas to all.

At best, Jesus was a poor boy born to a 13 year old girl who was betrothed to a… NINETY YEAR OLD MAN. The chances of Joseph being her lover are unlikely. Therefore it’s probable she was raped, and her family had to find a husband for her.So, let’s stop this silly nonsense shall we? Many people know stores and manufacturers profit from this time. Old news. Some times having a good spirit and holiday cheer before winters bleak moments can balance each other.
