Pole dancing! Slutty photos! Dumb bitches who can’t string a damn sentence together! THIS is the best our country has to offer, Miss USA pageant people?
I never thought beauty pageants were anything except awful ridiculousness where girls cashed in on their T&A, but I mean come ON – haven’t the scandals of the Miss USA and Miss Teen USA organizations gone too far?
I know these dumb, plastic-boobied girls aren’t really representing our country, bu they SAY they do, and some people out there BELIEVE this crock. Little girls, even. Aren’t we pushing this too far?
If Mr. Trump, who owns the stupid pageant, wants to rebrand Miss USA as something “hip” or SpikeTV-ish, fine, go for it. But we really need to drop all the other pretense, then. You can’t pretend these girls are humanitarians anymore, Donald, when they are caught with their legs wrapped around poles or with their nostrils rimmed with coke. If you are going to rebrand this dead horse, then please revamp all facets. Including all the stuff that says these girls are exemplary of anything but nice-looking idiotic loose ladies.

But Rezzie…in many parts of the world, beauty paegents is like the World Cup of Soccer, eh? So when a nation sends someone to the World Pageant, it’s a real big deal to those countries when the girl wins. eg- Venezuela. And ya know what happened after Iceland banned strip clubs? The economy tanked and the men are all leavin’, eh. ;D

Yes, the USA beauty pageants since 2000, leave things to be desired, such as the contestants having self respect and respectable morals and values.
In our Internet world, looks still triumph over anything else, including having respectable morals and values.
From my perspective, I’d say the USA has been on a moral and cultural decline since the 1950’s. Beauty pageants are but one of many examples of this phenomena.

[..YouTube..] I don’t think anyone takes the miss america pagent seriously enough to think that the woman in the pagent represents most woman. It is true that may of the woman that take part in these things are soley there because of how they look as most of them lack any merit. At the same time they made the choice to take part in the pagent so they are no being used or objectified (at least not anyone who isnt a complete idiot.).

[..YouTube..] I generally feel sorry for those contestants since they are put up to so much pressure to live up to some impossibly high moral standard not only in their public life but private life. its really unfair and I blame PC. It used to be these pageants were for looks only. Who cared if they were bitches or hoes because it is beauty contest and superficial by its nature. Let it be what it is and let the contestants be who they are.

This is what I don’t get–women cry “objectification” when _other_ women use their looks to get ahead, but it’s always ‘hard work and positive attitude’ when they get ahead themselves. [..YouTube..] @theresident – Funny, but… not to recommend you be a copycat, but… if you were to employ the multiple personalities technique that Nat (communitychannel) uses, your skits will automatically be ten times as entertaining, and you will be able to convey more with point / counterpoint dialog. Sure, it will take more planning and time, but I think YOU’RE worth it. I always find you smart, interesting and entertaining. I’m just recommending a technique that I’m sure will make you even more so.
