Hey folks! You might not live in New York City, but that doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy the Naked Cowboy’s run for the office of mayor here. A little history: Our current mayor is billionaire businessman, Michael Bloomberg. Many people feel he bought his seat, considering how much money he spends on advertising for his campaign. Some people hate what’s he done for this city – turned Times Square into “Disneyland,” brought in a ton of big chain stores, and given many incentives for big business. Some people love what he’s done for this city – cleaned it up tremendously, added several parks, pedestrian and bike lanes, and made the city safer. Personally, I have mixed feelings. I support mom and pop stores, but I love all the new parks and pedestrian areas. The most controversial move Mayor Bloomberg has made, however, is that he extended the mayoral term limit from 2 to 3. He’s already been mayor for two terms, so he should have gotten the boot. But he extended the limit to 3 so he can now run. He did this AFTER the people of NYC voted on the issue twice, and twice said they only want a mayor to be in office for a maximum of two terms. So he went against the people’s voice on that one. However, if that’s really the case, then all those people merely just have to go out this fall and vote someone else in. Chances are, though, that he’ll win again. Unless a total renegade comes along and sneaks the mayorship out from under him. Who could do that? It’d have to be someone who sings in his underwear in Times Square, right? Yeah, so that’s what the Naked Cowboy is thinking, too, which is why his cowboy hat is now in the ring. He was kind enough to let me ride around with him in his stretch limo on the day of his press tour. Enjoy the resulting video.

I don’t think it is softening anyones views on the need for Universal healthcare. I think what it is is the majority of these idiots are men who find the resident attractive and are thus going along with her little joke because they think it will get them somewhere..

i live in Australia we have free health care if i get sick with a cold i can go to my doctor and get a free consultation if i need an x-ray i get it free if i need microsurgery to re attach a finger you guest it completely free nationalize your health care get your doctors working for the patents not the insurance companies trust me much better to get well rather than worry how am i going to pay for it

that said I think the naked cowboy is an inconsequential joke and anyone who really thinks he can distract people from the issues are already distracted from the issues..

LOL if you cant afford healthcare you dont get it, i wonder what he’d say about the tsunami in samoa, WELL IF YOU CANT AFFORD RESCUE EQUIPMENT YOU DONT GET. lol. Hey if your american and you want free healthcare come to australia or england and the best thing is england pays you after surgery to make sure you get home safely and can make sure you have the medication etc you need.. How good is that and aussie’s money is nearly on par with the USA and englands is worth twice as much as the USA.

love your work Australia has PBS pharmaceutical benefit scheme where most approved meds are subsidized.If you are on a pension or on the dole (a regular sum of money paid by the state to somebody who is unemployed) you pay about $3 if you are not entitled to a health care card you pay about $20 We do pay higher tax than they do but to live in a place where everyone is equal Ill pay that price. Americans think there in the land of opportunity I say they should get out more.

yeah mate, free doctors visits, cheap meds and free cat scans that take 5 minutes and $4500 of free dental work done in the last month + 5 free visits to a chiropractor. and a respectable level of tax taken from my pay every year to cover the costs and given the fact i rarely have gotten anything from medicare for the last few years i got it all in one hit this year. I love being australian.

Health Care package.. exercise and diet … oooof course!! Lori, hope your ankle MRI came out OK, but you should prolly just eat fewer carbs and use some freeweights and you will be OK.
