December 20, 2009 137 CommentsI don’t know if it’s only my good fortune or what, but a lot of people write in to my web talk show and try to convert me to people write in to my web talk show and try to convert me to their religion. Isn’t that awesome? No. It’s not. Please, everyone who does that or is thinking of doing that: your efforts are wasted. My MOM couldn’t tell me what religion to follow. You are certainly not going to be able to do so either. I was raised Catholic and live in the society of New York City, exposed to many types of religions and cultures on a daily basis. So I’ve dabbled in learning about each of them, as they come along. The bottom line is, I pretty much don’t like religions. Opiate of the masses and all that, all true to my ears. But that’s not why. I kinda feel like masses need opiates sometimes, even though I wish that weren’t true. I just personally don’t need an opiate, or a bunch of rules to explain to me who I am, how I should act, and where I’m going after I die. I am me. I should tread lightly on this Earth and try to leave only positive impacts wherever I may go. And I don’t believe it is my right or privilege to know what happens after I die. What epistomological base do you operate from? You would have people believe that you are above ‘the fray’ and you are divinely objective but that is not possible. Kant demonstrated that beyond all doubt. Lurking beneath that pretty face is a concrete, system you adhere to which guides your passions and actions. However, I have an idea that what guides you is a dozen or so incompatible philosophies melted into an unworkable hybrid which sounds great on camera but failes the test of life.

[..YouTube..] I think religion stunts “spiritual” growth for kids in many ways. I’m not sure of the actual definition of spirituality but I guess I’ll define it for myself as reflecting on yourself… and yeah. I don’t know. Finding inner peace and all that shiz rather than just living without ever really thinking about it much.

[..YouTube..] I do agree totally! I am actually a Universal Religion and I had to learn all the major religions in the world. I do believe every religion does have a meaning and truth. After studying, I learned that most organized religions are for profit. But, in my personal religion, I tend to go for the oldest denomination to Christianity. I practice Messianic Judaism because it has Jewish practices including using Hebrew plus accepts Yeshua of Nazareth as Messiah. I also like Kabbalah too.

[..YouTube..] I used to be a christian, then a neo pagan, then was/still kinda am a atheist. But one thing I cant deny luck and chance. I feel that some ppl are more lucky then others. I have always been a vary lucky guy for things that have happened to me. Anything from finding $50.00 on the ground to being alive after my first car wreck. I have had friends with much better lives then me have the worst luck ever. idk I might sound crazy but I believe in the power of luck. I just ond know where it comes from.
