Reverend Billy Talen for Mayor

Yes, so, to recap: lots of people are angry with NYC’s current mayor, Mike Bloomberg. So much so that many unconventional characters are coming out to to run against him. One such man is the Reverend Billy Talen, an anti-consumerism pastor/performace artist who completely rules. He has a movie out called “What Would Jesus Buy,” he causes complete uproars in Starbuckseses and Wal-Marts across the country, and he is completely dedicated to the small businessman, the conservation of our planet, and the end to our consumerist ways as we know them. His plan for the city of New York, as he runs on the Green Party ticket, is pretty sound if radical. His plan for humanity in general, is the same. If you’ve never heard of him, I’m very glad to introduce him, because he’s one of those super-original people on the planet that I genuinely admire.
